Agilizing IT demand management and IT project execution in EMEA telecoms company

An international telecoms company from the EMEA region started a project to review organization and processes in several streams with the goal to advance the operational excellence of the company.

 

We were assigned as streamleads to analyze the existing IT demand management process incl. the IT project processes and to develop improvement proposals.

 

KEY VALUES WE ADDED:

Analysis and reorganization of the complete IT demand management and IT project execution process, workshops with top management and process participants.


Elaboration of a comprehensive concept significantly streamlining and agilizing  the process and project execution including project portfolio management and its presentation and coordination with top management and affected departments.


With our concept the process could be shortened from an average duration of several months to only a few days from initiation to decision. As the proposed new execution process was agile, the first project results could thus be expected after the first project sprint.


Coaching of the agile teams (business and IT) in their roles in agile matters, including the application and further development of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and preparation of the implementation of the concept.
